An Interview with Ron Maxwell

Our conversation with Ron Maxwell, director of the forthcoming film “Copperhead.” In this interview, Ron discusses the motivation behind filming this work and its similarities and differences to his time spent directing “Gettysburg” and “Gods and Generals.” Additionally, Ron offers his thoughts on the impact of Civil War era film and why it still engages to such a high degree with the general public. (A special note on a change in the release schedule. “Copperhead” will be out in select cities June 28 and hitting New York City and Los Angeles theaters July 19.)
