An Interview with William A. Link

 

Our conversation with William A. Link, author of Atlanta, Cradle of the New South: Race and Remembering in the Civil War’s Aftermath published by the University of North Carolina Press. In this interview, Link details Atlanta’s Civil War experience and its reemergence in the postwar period as the model of the New South. Link also shares some of his favorite Civil War books and how he approaches teaching the war in the classroom.
